I have decided from now on to take a big trip for my birthday. Now that it’s the post college days, as a woman with a job and a little bit of change with a lot of responsibilities , bills, student loans and omg I’m freaking out about adulting…
Ok I’m back 🙂
I began hunting for a good deal and landed on a Groupon to Portugal so I jumped in and booked it. Took some days off from work and dragged my mom along. The plan was set in motion to travel from Boston to Lisbon, then to the Azores for a few days. All new places that I was excited to visit and explore. As the planning days began, we decided to add a Paris trip in the mix as Ryanair prices were too good to pass up. We spent a couple days in Lisbon, exploring using the metro system and the Trams. Lovely city with small streets, lively alleyways and beautiful views from the Alfama area.
The next part of the trip included a flight to the Azores’s Ponta Delgada. There I rented a car and spent a few days driving around the whole Island. The mountains are always a great idea, so I made sure to spend as much time hiking as I could. We explored Lagoa das Sete Cidades a beautiful two colored lake, lagoa do fogo, caldeira velha. It was a birthday well spent in the great outdoors.
